CourseFeed

About CourseFeed

CourseFeed turns a week of course files into one clean document you can paste into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Drop in lecture slides, PDF readings, Word documents and spreadsheets, and you get one Markdown file with a section for each source.

Who makes it

CourseFeed is a one-person project, built and run by David Ahn in British Columbia, Canada. David also writes the study guides. The example output in them is real output from the converter, run on test files.

How it works

Conversion uses MarkItDown, an open-source library from Microsoft. It runs right in your browser, so your files never leave your device. The first visit downloads the converter (about 20 MB), and your browser keeps it for next time. Read the Privacy page for the details.

What it can't do yet

Scanned pages and photos of handwriting have no text to extract, so they come back flagged as "No text found". Web pages, YouTube videos and audio are not supported. The converter needs a recent browser: on older versions of iOS and Safari it may not start, so update your device or use a laptop.
